At the first sign of sequestration, JPMorgan Chase & Co. announced they will dismiss 19,000 people from its mortgage and community banking units, reported Bloomberg Businessweek.

New Plans for Manhattan's 80 South Street Revealed

A new building plan has been proposed at the site of 80 South Street in Manhattan, New York, where famous architect, Santiago Calatrava had proposed to build the “Sky Cube” in 2008. Though plans of the Sky cube were laid to rest due to credit crisis, Cord Meyer Development, owner of the site, has decided to build a “garden-skyscraper” which will be designed by a local design firm: Morali Architects.
