'Tekken 7' News Update: Bandai Namco Announces Game Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PlayStation VR

Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. announces that "Tekken 7" is coming to PS4 and Xbox One consoles. This official announcement has been released during the Sony's press conference at Paris Games Week.

Paris Games Week normally is a convenient avenue for tons of announcements and trailers from different interactive entertainment industry. During this event, Sony's press conference, Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. has informed fans to "get ready back in the ring for 'Tekken 7'," as reported by PlayStation Blog.

Report says that the "fighting franchise with more than two decades of technical level fighting and a deeply dedicated community is back with 'Tekken 7'!" It also mentioned that the upcoming video game will run for the first time on "Unreal Engine 4."

Running the new video game of "Tekken" on "Unreal Engine 4" will give fans new experience as it will have "highly detailed characters and dynamic environments." Another treat for gamers who will be using the home console version for this game is that they will have "numerous modes along with an intensive canon storyline and many other enhancements."

Destructoid says that Sony's Shuhei Yoshida disclosed that there are "200 developers are working on PlayStation VR." One of these developers is obviously Katsuhiro Harada. Aside from PS4 and Xbox One, "Tekken 7" will also be playable with PlayStation virtual-reality headset.

Another revelation during the Sony Computer Entertainment's Paris Games Week press conference is that the console version of "Tekken 7" will have the most complete and enhanced edition of the fighting franchise, according to Gematsu. In addition, the video game will also have "PlayStation-exclusive content and PlayStation VR support."

From the official announcement of Bandai Namco Entertainment, it mentions that the newest chapter of "Tekken" series will go back to its gameplay roots. This is in celebration of its 20th anniversary.

Fans would expect that the gameplay of "Tekken 7" will contain "the classic 1 vs 1 bouts and its canon storyline centered on the eternal struggle for power amongst the members of the Mishima clan." The roster of the playable characters involves newcomer Kazumi Mishima. Other things expected in the video game is "the epic battle between father and son, and also husband and wife" including the fated conclusion of the fight.
