Top Tips on How to Redesign the Apartment You're Renting

Renting out your place doesn't mean you will no longer have the opportunity to redesign it to your liking. Here are helpful tips on how you can redesign your apartment or flat without having problems with your landlord.

Canadian designer Amanda Forrest recently came up with a redesigning project which anyone who wishes to rent out her place can enjoy and benefit from.

For instance, Forrest herself painted a bold drawing in the living room area.

"For me, black is a bold neutral. It creates drama in any space and adds a luxury feel to rooms with not much architectural flair. I feel the same about a deep navy blue," she told Elle Décor.

Forrest also made it a point to include bolder color schemes for the designs of the apartment she is renting out.

"My inspiration for décor in the rental was somewhat of a rock princess feel - and because I knew this home was temporary for me, it allowed me to be more free in color and style choices," she said.

Meanwhile, the publication was quoted describing Forrest's design as, "Proves the power of a little positive thinking when it comes to rentals" is possible."

In other news, if you are the one renting out a place and would like to do the redesigning on your own, this is something that you can certainly accomplish. All you have to think of are the products or materials that you want to use as well as the designs that will suit your taste.

If you want to redesign every single room in your apartment, you can certainly do so. In fact, you can even make each design completely different from the other rooms or parts of the house.

What are you waiting for? Veer away from boring-looking apartments now!
