2016 Floral Trends You Can Apply in Your Homes

Flowers have a way of transforming a space into a warm or elegant environment. It can also help breathe life and add color to a room. For 2016, here are some of the floral trends that you can follow to liven up your home.

Preparing a beautiful table for guests may be a daunting task; however, flower designers Kathleen Hyppolite of Kat Flowers and Howard Kudva of Phileanor recently shared some of their tips and floral trends to watch out for this year, House Beautiful reports. One tip is to incorporate one of the Pantone colors for 2016, such as rose quartz, in floral centerpieces. To make the soft-hued flower arrangement pop out, add in muted-colored blooms and lush greenery. It can be paired with a classic black and white table setting, along with gold flatware.

Another floral trend in 2016 would be the use of tropics-inspired floral arrangements mixed with cultural pieces around the table such as woven baskets or wicker sleeves for glasses. Arrangements which celebrate natural beauty is one of the trends that most designers and stylists are using this year, according to Hyppolite.

Apart from these tips, the use of contrasting colors and bold-textured arrangements are two floral trends to look forward to this 2016, as reported by the same site. Mixing bold colors with soft hues will create a show-stopping floral arrangement.

Meanwhile, the use of flowers and blooms are not only limited to table settings or flower arrangements.  Florals will be one of the key trends in 2016, according to a report by House to Home. The use of floral patterns can be incorporated in sofas or couches as accent pieces for a room. Walls can also be decorated with brightly colored flowers, although it is best to use a white background and a few similarly colored furniture pieces to tie the look together.

For those wary of having a busy or too colorful room, pastel florals can also be used for a softer design, according to the same report. This can be in the form of a pale blue or light pink floral-covered cushions set against a neutral-colored couch. A rug with a floral design can also be used to make a plain-looking room more inviting.
