Candy Crush: Most Popular Candy in Each State this Halloween (INFOGRAPHIC)

The countdown to Halloween is almost over and while you are already wrapping up your preparation for "All Hallows Eve", savings site SumoCoupon, has come up with an interesting infographic that shows which kind of candy is going to be in vogue in each state this year.

To compile the infographic, SumoCoupon looked up candy searches on Google and determined the volume of searches for each candy from each region. Using Google trends, which ranks searches on a scale of 100, they selected results that got a complete score and for those options that tied at 100, they went ahead with the more unique choice of the two.

SumoCoupon found interesting results. Some states like Kentucky and West Virginia are going full traditional with candy corn for "treats", while Maryland and Ohio are rooting for organic options like apples and raisins respectively.

California is planning on going all modern with wax lips candies and New Jersey is giving away Bubble Tape (chewing gum in the shape of sticky tape). The most unique has to be New Mexico because they are giving away new lead pencils instead of candies.

Recently, the folks at Trulia put together an interesting infographic about the spooks homeowners preferred. Conducted over a period of two days, between September 24 and 26, 2014, Trulia polled 2,005 adults across the United States, of which 1,117 plan on buying a home in the near future.
