Martha Madison is returning to the daytime soap "Days of Our Lives" and her character Belle Black is set to appear anytime soon.
Rumors made rounds for months about Martha's return to Salem, but recent spoilers confirm that Belle is back. It does make sense because her husband Shawn Brady has already returned and it only follows that she will be there too.
DOOL just released a promo video for its 50th anniversary and it shows Belle and Shawn in a difficult time. Shawn tells Belle he already forgave her once for cheating on him and that he would be an idiot if he do it again. And so it looks like Shawn and Belle are over. Belle says they are getting a divorce.
Belle Black, a character introduced in 1993, is the daughter of John (played by Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall). Martha started playing the role in 2004. She left in 2008 with Shawn and their daughter Claire.
Martha took to Twitter to announce that she's back. She wrote, "ICYMI: Belle returns to @nbcdays! #Days50" with a link to NBC's sneak peek video.

Her "Winterthorne" co-star also wrote, "Since the day I met her, @Marth27 has worked harder than you could possibly imagine. Support her return home!"

In addition to "Days of Our Lives," Martha is known for her roles in "Undercover Bridesmaid" (2012) and "Kate & Leopold" (2001). She also appeared in "The Bay" as Marly Nelson-Foster from 2010 to 2014 and in "General Hospital" as Elizabeth Webber in 2011.
Meanwhile, Jason Cook is currently playing Shawn but his return to the soap is meant to be for short-term only. But because DOOL wants to keep the character, Brandon Beemer has been recast to take over come early 2016.
"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.
