Celebrity Deaths 2015: '60 Minute Makeover' Michelle Watt Takes Her Own Life After Suffering Chronic Headaches

One of the recent celebrity deaths in 2015 that devastated many was that of TV presenter and daytime television host, Michelle Watt. The 38-year-old talk show host was found dead nearly a week ago in her £350,000 detached house as she took her own life after suffering from chronic headache and pain.

The death of Watt was confirmed by her father, former lightweight world champion Jim. Watt's father claimed that her daughter suffered severe depression following a lumbar puncture that brought her agonizing pain and headaches. The talk show host's body was recovered Wednesday last week in her own home in in Airth, Stirlingshire that she shared with her husband, Paul, and five-year-old daughter, Jaimi.

According to Jim, Watt was unable to sleep and eat. She lost her “spark” and had detached herself from everyone. She stopped answering texts and calls from friends and family.

Jim was quoted as saying by Daily Mail, “She shut the whole world out. Her appetite went and the weight was falling off her. She had no enthusiasm — she didn't want to see anyone or go anywhere.”

Jim knew what her daughter was going through and volunteered to look after her. However, the former boxer said that her daughter wasn’t able to go back to her old self, Mirror reports.

Watt’s agony started in 2014 when she experienced serious headaches. She consulted a doctor and had MRI and CAT scans. Doctors said that she had calcium deposits in her optical nerve. However, after the lumbar puncture procedure to detect its root cause, she started experiencing more excruciating headaches.

Watt is the latest celebrity to die this year, joining Sawyer Sweeten, Cynthia Lennon, Geoffrey Lewis, Mario Cuomo, Stuart Scott and many more.
