'Big Bang Theory' Season 8 Finale: Major Spoiler Revealed! Romance Cliffhangers Will Result in Breakups? -- Details Here

Something juicy is being cooked up for the season finale of "The Big Bang Theory" season 8. Showrunner Steven Molaro teased what will be happening to the characters of the hit CBS show.

With only three episodes remaining in the comedy, Molaro spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, to dish out some welcomed details.

It was revealed that two couples -- namely Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) as well as Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) are going to be going through something "huge" which will end the season unanswered.

"It is a cliff-hanger, and, when you see it, I think it'll be pretty obvious where, in some way, season nine will be headed. As someone who is also a fan of the show, I'm experiencing a range of emotions. There are a lot of things that I have feelings about that go down in this episode."

While the cliffhangers will surely make for a good storyline, the other two romances will go through their own issues.

While husband and wife team Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) will continue down their path of living a life without Mrs. Wolowitz but in the presence of friend/ rent-free tenant Stuart (Kevin Sussman), Raj, who is in a new relationship with girlfriend Emily (Laura Spencer) will need to make a major decision with regards to his love life.

The final episode is set for May 7 but the plot will actually be the fifth anniversary of Sheldon and Amy's first date. It was also revealed that two of the major topics to be tackled will be the wedding date of Leonard and Penny along with Amy's frustrations on the stagnant pace she feels her relationship is in.

In addition to the issues happening with the roommates and their significant others, there were also some details regarding Raj's fit with Emily and the difficulty he encounters as he tries to break it off. As an additional teaser, Lucy (Kate Micucci) may return to ruffle some feathers.

Lastly, fans will get to see the inner workings of Howard's relationship with his mother and the efforts of Bernadette to transform her mother-in-law's house into her new home -- with Stuart' presence, of course.

The set up for season 9 is certainly looking to be quite juicy. "The Big Bang Theory" is set for two more seasons with the show airing Thursdays at 8:00pm on CBS.
