Pinterest Says These 10 Destinations Are Most Pinned For Summer

Pinterest has been tracking the most-pinned summer travel destinations ever since 2016 began. Pinners, the users of Pinterest, is already anticipating the upcoming summer season, as evidenced by their numerous pins about summer. Pinterest has concluded that most pinners are looking to go out of town for the summer.

The top summer destination list include national parks, swimming places and majestic waterfalls, according to a feature by Pinterest. The chosen destinations can be as close as the Grand Canyon and as far as the other side of the world, such as New Zealand, Australia's neighbor. Here are the top 10 summer vacation spots of Pinners, according to a feature by the Elle Décor.

1. Pink Sand Beach, Bahamas. The beach with the unusual color tops the list, in the go-to summer destination of tourists around the world, the Bahamas.
2. Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia. The Plitvice Lakes National Park is a 295-square kilometer forest reserve with 16 terraced lakes which are joined by waterfalls and extend to a limestone canyon.
3. Lago Di Braies, Italy. Translated as Lake Braies, it is famously known as Pragseer Wildsee and a popular destination for relaxation in Italy.
4. Waitomo Glowworm Caves, New Zealand. The cave is known for glowworms, a species found only in New Zealand, living inside which makes the cave glow blue.
5. Bigar Cascade Falls, Romania. The locals call Bigar Cascade Falls "the miracle from Minis Canyon" and is part of the Minis river.
6. The Azores, Portugal. The Azores is a cluster of islands with beautiful landscapes, fishing villages and green pastures.
