Home Design Ideas: How to Make Your Studio Apartment Look Like a 5-Star Hotel

People living in studio apartments always face the dilemma of designing and decorating the open floor space. Good thing there are a couple of simple tips they can use to create a studio apartment that looks like a studio room inside a five-star hotel.

My Domaine suggested maximizing the studio floor's floor plan by adding some build-in countertops. In case rental agreements won't permit additions, go for floating desks or simply arrange the furniture flush the wall.

Another way to elegantly design the space to make it look larger is by using reflective surfaces. Even a single mirror that is strategically placed can create the illusion that the place is bigger. These statement pieces show bold personality and sophistication in any room.

It is also advisable to go big when it comes to furniture. A small studio space does not necessarily mean one should only use small furniture. A lot of small pieces will still look like clutter, so it is important to choose larger, functional and smart pieces to add elegance to the room and make it seem bigger.

Another way to make the studio room look like the ones in a five-star hotel is to use white-on-white beddings. This will allow the other key pieces in the space to stand out. Keep the comforter and the pillow arrangement streamlined and well-tailored. It is also best to invest in high-quality sheets to keep it luxurious and comfortable.

Apartment Therapy also said that it is important to take note of the lighting inside the room. It is highly recommended to use artful embellishments to spice up the space and also evoke the mood and charisma.  Aside from that, the brighter the space, the bigger it will look.
