Justin Baldoni has listed his renovated 10-acre, fully solar-powered estate near Ojai, California, for $8.88 million as he prepares for a civil trial set for May with his It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively.
The listing comes after the couple briefly marketed the property as a $40,000‑per‑month rental before pulling the ad and officially putting the compound up for sale, drawing attention to the timing amid Baldoni's ongoing legal dispute with Lively.
The civil case, which centers on Lively's misconduct allegations tied to the film's production and Baldoni's countersuit accusing her of defamation, is scheduled to go before a jury in May, and both sides have denied each other's claims.
A Renovated 10-Acre "Sanctuary"
Baldoni and his wife, Emily, bought the estate in 2020 for a little over $2.1 million and then spent roughly two years transforming it into what they have described as a family "sanctuary," according to Elle Decor. The main house, built in 2003, is a Spanish-style residence of about 5,200 square feet with five bedrooms and four full bathrooms spread across two floors.
Inside, the couple chose a minimalist, whitewashed look with wide-plank wood floors and travertine accents, aiming for a calm, resort-like feel inspired by the surrounding hills and their trips to Tulum and other parts of Mexico.
The ground level connects to a series of open-air living areas, including a loggia and covered lounge that extend entertaining space toward the outdoors. Across the 10-acre parcel, the property is set up as a retreat-style compound, with multiple structures and activity zones spread out to take advantage of mountain and valley views.
A heated saltwater pool, spa, and renovated garage-turned-gym sit near the main residence, while landscaped paths link out to a lighted sports court and other recreation spaces.
Solar Power, Wellness Domes, and Resort-Style Amenities
Two geodesic domes imported from Poland serve as distinctive wellness and guest spaces, with one used as a yoga dome and the other designed for additional accommodations or events, Celebrity Net Worth reported.
The grounds also feature a regenerative orchard with avocado and other fruit trees, plus a cold plunge, sauna, pickleball and basketball courts, a putting green, and an in-ground trampoline. According to the listing, the estate runs entirely on solar power and incorporates fire-resistant elements, aligning with Baldoni's focus on sustainability and safety in a region prone to wildfires.
Although often described as being in Ojai, the property is technically located in nearby Santa Paula, about 20 minutes from downtown Ojai, on a road that shares the Ojai name. Marketed as both a private residence and a potential retreat or event venue, the compound offers privacy, scale, and flexibility that set it apart in the area's luxury real estate market, particularly as Baldoni navigates a high-profile courtroom battle, as per Yahoo News.
