The United States' most expensive ZIP code is not Silicon Valley, but Sagaponack, NY where the Clinton Family and Billy Joel spend the Summer. In recent statistics, the area's homes are being sold for $5 million, at least.

The most expensive ZIP codes list was gathered by Property Shark. They calculated each of the ZIP code's median sale price according to closed sales between 2014 and 2015. The website found out that the most expensive ZIP codes are in Florida, New York, and California.

10007 - New York; Median (sale) price: $2.7M; Median Income/Household: $112K

The location is in Lower Manhattan. From the World Trade Center, the location is near the Wall Street. This is the reason why the area draws-in high-paid traders.

10013 - New York City; Median (sale) price: $2.8M; Median Income/Household: $83K

The ZIP code includes three Lower Manhattan neighborhoods such as SoHo, Hudson Square and Tribeca. Aside from the Hudson River view, its many perks include being neighbors with famous celebrities.

94301 - Palo Alto, California; Median (sale) price: $2.8M; Median Income/Household: $122K

Palo Alto's home prices have multiplied recently primarily because of the location's tech-cash industry, Business Insider said. Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg owns five Silicon Valley houses. He bought four nearby properties just to be able to preserve home privacy.

90402 - Santa Monica, California; Median (sale) price: $3M; Median Income/Household: $140K

11962 - Sagaponack, New York; Median (sale) price: $5.2M; Median Income/Household: $106K

Slamming a few of the country's most prestigious communities, Sagaponack has topped the most expensive code list in the country. Multi-million properties like the $248 million property of Ira Rennert is located in this Hampton's destination.
