Robot 6 Comic Book Resources states that the 18th volume of "Attack on Titan" manga series has "sold 969,743 copies in its first week of release in Japan, claiming the top spot on the weekly manga sales chart." Report says that based on the survey of Oricon, a market research firm, there's an increase of almost 200,000 copies in comparison to Vol. 17, which was released in August.

According to Crunchyroll, "Attack on Titan" vol. 17 had sold 771,157 copies in its first week. Its "1,058-yen limited edition of the 17th volume with the Kansai Dialect version 1st volume sold 133,306 copies in its first week." As reported, the "1,944-yen limited edition with a Santa version Nendoroid Petite figure of Eren ranked 14th with 56,279 units." If the regular and the limited edition will be added, then the total sales of the 18th volume were 1,026,022 copies for its first week. Similarly, if you tally the sales of vol. 17th's regular and limited edition, it only has the sum of 904, 463.

"Attack on Titan" manga series has sold about 8.8 million copies in this year 2015. The sales timeline is from Dec. 1, 2014 to November 30, 2015. It is noted that there's a drop of almost 50 percent from 2013, and "26 percent down from 2014's 11,728,368, and almost half."

As for the anime series, season 2 of "Attack on Titan" has not specifically confirmed its release date. As far as online news as its source, many claim that it will definitely premiere in 2016. The reason why director Tetsuro Araki could not specifically say the date of release is that, he has an agreement with the manga's creator Hajime Isayama. Both agreed that there has to be "4 story arcs ahead of the series," Crossmap reveals.

So far, the manga series of Hajime Isayama's "Attack on Titan" now has 3 story arcs. This means to say that it won't take long for the anime series of "AoT" to premiere in the small screen?
