Lakers’ executive Jim Buss Sells Dana Point home for $3.7 million

Jim Buss, executive vice president of the LA Lakers and son of late Lakers owner Jerry Buss, has reportedly sold his home in Dana Point, Calif., for $3.7 million.

According to the Realtor Blog, Buss listed the property sometime in 2013 for $4.7 million. However, the home has sold considerably below the asking price.

The four-bedroom with four full and four half bathrooms is a single-family home located in the Niguel Shore neighborhood of Monarch Bay. Spanning an area of 3,808 square feet, the place provides open living spaces with plush interiors that include mixed flooring, drywall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows and doors.

Inside, the home has a gourmet kitchen, two fireplaces and spacious living areas with ample ventilation. Outside, the home has a spa-attached pool in the front and large sitting areas in the backyard. The backside of the home offers panoramic views of the ocean.

After listing the place, Buss went on a crazy buying spree, picking up four other properties in Dana Point and a posh condo in the Ritz Carlton overlooking the Staples Center in Los Angeles. In all, the transactions cost him a total of $17.58 million, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Meanwhile, late Jerry Buss' Playa Del Rey home is already under contract for sale. The listing, asking $5.45 million, has a "pending" sign on it. The large Italian-style villa is a true king-size retreat, sitting on 0.31-acre lot. The home is a three-story, 10,846-square-foot building comprised of seven bedrooms and eight full and three half bathrooms. The villa has an eight-car garage and an attached guest house as well.
