Arrow-Flash Crossover: Two-Part Special Episodes To Jumpstart ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Series

Another explosive crossover between "Arrow" and "The Flash" is about to happen again! This time, the two DC superheroes will team up to kick-off the premiere of the brand-new "Legends of Tomorrow" series on The CW.

According to Coming Soon, The CW just released the summaries of the two episodes, which will be aired on Dec. 2 and 3. "The Flash" will jumpstart the crossover with "Legends of Today" while "Arrow" will follow up with "Legends of Yesterday."

"The Flash" Season 2 Episode 8 "Legends of Today" is directed by Ralph Hemecker from the story by Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. The first crossover episode will be based on the teleplay from Aaron and Todd Helbing.

Episode 8 "Legends of Today" will feature the arrival of Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) in Central City. He will start endangering both Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renee) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). With the help of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) aka "The Flash," Kendra finds refuge in the presence of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in Star City. However, things continue to get worse when an unknown winged man who goes by the name Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) kidnapped Kendra.

Barry, on the other hand, continues to look for possible ways to stop Vandal and save his friends from him. After bringing Kendra to Oliver, Barry seeks the help of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanaugh) who created a serum to make him run faster than before. It was said that they asked Jay (Teddy Sears) to be the one to try the serum.

"Arrow" Season 4 Episode 8 "Legends of Yesterday" is directed by Thor Freudenthal from the story by Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim. It will be based on the teleplay from Brian Ford Sullivan and Guggenheim.

Episode 8 "Legends of Yesterday" will continue with the aftermath of the first crossover episode of "The Flash." The team-up of "Arrow" and "The Flash" resumes in the second half of the special crossover event. Felicity, Thea and the other members of "Team Arrow" will work alongside Barry's friends while the two superheroes help Kendra. They will keep both Kendra and Carter Hall away from Vandal by bringing the two to a hidden place. Meanwhile, Malcolm (John Barrowman) has a new plan under his sleeves as he sets up a meeting between them and Vandal.

In an interview with TV Insider, executive producers Andrew Kreisberg ("The Flash") and Marc Guggenheim ("Arrow") teased about the "insane" crossover event.

According to Kreisberg and Guggenheim, both episodes will not only back up the spin-off series but will bridge the connection between the three series.

"The final moments of The Flash have a pretty big jaw-dropper and we pick up those threads in Arrow," Guggenheim said. "Then we do some things with the characters from Arrow...that are pretty epic and major."

Guggenheim said that this event will be different from last year's crossover as the episodes will have different plots. However, Kreisberg assured the fans that there will be a lot of interactions between the characters from both series.
