The summer season finale of the hit USA TV Series “Suits” was a real cliffhanger. Of all the possible things that could happen, it had to be Mike Ross getting picked up by the police. So what is in store for the fraudulent protagonist?
It was bound to happen at some point but when it did it was still a shocker. And fans now cannot wait for Season 5B to kick in. Luckily, according to TVLine, USA has already set the date for Season 5 of “Suits” to resume on Jan. 27. Finally, fans will also get the answer to the burning question, who turned Mike Ross in?
Aside from getting answers, there will of course be legal proceedings and this is where a new face comes in “Suits” Season 5. It has been confirmed that the "cold-blooded" government prosecutor who will lead the investigation against Mike Ross will be played by 50-year-old Canadian actress, Leslie Hope. She will be playing the role of Assistant U.S. Attorney Anita Gibbs, who threatens to bring down the whole firm, according to Deadline. She is also known for her role as Teri Bauer on the Fox spy thriller "24.” She has also appeared in shows like "NCIS" and "Blue Bloods."
With Mike Ross getting arrested and Assistant Attorney Gibbs threatening to burn the firm down to the ground, will Harvey Spectre and Luis Litt finally get it together and put their personal problems aside? Knowing Harvey as someone who can work his way out of a sticky situation almost without breaking a sweat, will he be able to get Mike Ross out of this? It is most likely that even the ruthless prosecutor has some dirty secrets that Harvey will stop at nothing to find out so he could use it to blackmail her.
It looks like the last six episodes of “Suits” Season 5 is going to be a roller coaster ride since nearly everyone will be implicated in Mike’s situation not to mention that there are rumors suggesting Harvey might also be ready for a relationship. There is only one way to find out and that is to tune in to USA Network when “Suits” returns.
