Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge rumors say that both flagship phones will have Exynos 8890. It is rumored to be starting mass-production by December, which also supports the earlier report for a prompt 2016 release.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge rumors have been going on since their Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were released. One story that came out in September was that Samsung has finalized the design for its next flagship phone to make it to the January 2016 rumored launch. Plus, it may add a third model, a foldable one that is secretly known as "Project Valley," Tech Times reported.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will have USB Type-C ports, which will replace the micro USB port. It was also said that the new smartphones will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Exynos processor will be directly competing with chips from Qualcomm and Apple. Codenamed "M1," the octa-core 8890 will be better in terms of power efficiency and a better performance in graphics. With this processor, battery life will definitely improve, which was the main concern with its predecessor, the S6 and S6 Edge, Business Korea reported.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is also believed to be available in two processor variants, depending on the region, either an Exynos 8890 or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip. Then of course, the counterpart of Apple's 3D Touch technology which was incorporated with the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will be present. It is also rumored that the South-Korean phone giant could bring back the microSD slot for storage expansion. It was removed from the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
