Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10576 rolled out to members of the Windows Insider Program last Thursday. The preview build aims to fix some bugs and to add new features to the Windows internet browser, Edge.
Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10576 is focused on refining Microsoft's Edge browser, and the tech giant wants its preview members to be the first to try out the new features. Members can then inform Microsoft of any related issues pertaining to the latest build, as posted on the official Microsoft Blog.
Window's Edge browser can now allow the users to stream videos, images and audio, directly. This can be done via a network or to any Miracast and DLNA equipped devices. Users can send out YouTube videos, Facebook photo albums or Pandora audio streams. However, this feature will not let protected contents, like Netflix Videos, be streamed out.
Another add-on to the Edge is its "Ask Cortana" feature. A user can highlight any text on any PDF file that is opened on the internet browser, and let Cortana get additional information. As the ever-smart personal assistant, Cortana can offer help with an incomprehensible word, let's say on a menu, InfoBuild reported.
Also worth noting are the fixes that have been included in this build. One particular bug is when Surface Pro 3 owners simply want to put the tablet into sleep, but the tablet shuts down instead when the physical power button is pressed. Another issue that happens to small-screen tablets, particularly the Dell Venue 8, changes the display size than the actual one, which makes things big and out of proportion. The tablet then crashes and tries to roll back to the previous build.
Last but not the least, messages and contacts are being erased on the Skype application. Users are required to either re-install the app via the Windows Store or to delete a particular file. The complete instructions can be found on the same blog post about the announcement of the new build.
