‘Death Note’ & ‘Bakuman’ Creators Have Been Offered With Single Chapters of ‘Platinum End’ By Viz Media

Tsugumi Ohba And Takeshi Obata, creators of the famous mangas "Death Note" and "Bakuman" have been offered by Viz Media with single chapters of their upcoming "Platinum End." This info has been officially announced through the Weekly Shonen Jump.

Anime News Network has details of the announcement. According to its report, the statement was made on Monday stating on the Viz' digital manga magazine that the company will publish the upcoming manga series of Tsugumi Ohba And Takeshi Obata, "Platinum End" at the same time with Japan's release. It has also been mentioned that each chapter will be sold separately for US$0.99.

Although, Fandom Post says that details of Tsugumi Ohba And Takeshi Obata's "Platinum End" are painfully scarce, news says that the new manga series, which will be serialized in English, will kick off on Nov. 4 "with new monthly chapters coming out simultaneously with Japan."

ANN says that the "Platinum End" of Tsugumi Ohba And Takeshi Obata will formally launch in Shueisha's Jump SQ in December. However, the 8 pages of the new manga will be previewed in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump 45th issue on Monday.

Crunchyroll says that the story of "Platinum End" revolves on the lead character named Mirai Kakehashi, who becomes hopeless while living on this world. The story talks about the human and the angel.

It has been noted that this is the first manga that Tsugumi Ohba And Takeshi Obata have worked on after "Bakuman" ended in 2012.

 Aside from "Platinum End," Weekly Shonen Jump has also offered Masashi Kishimoto, creator of "Naruto," his first manga series "Karakuri" to be serialized in English, since it was not previously done. This manga has been published in 1998 in Japan. Masashi won "the Hop Step Award for new manga artists."
