Youth Health Mag says that Eiichiro Oda has been interviewed by Misaki C. Kido. In fact, some images of the transcript have been posted in One Piece Gold. The said interview covers a lot of things like what inspires him in creating the "One Piece" including the "pirate crew that he would like to be a part of."

In the interview, Misaki C. Kido asked Oda why he's interested with pirates. The "One Piece" creator explained that his interest of pirates could be traced back when he was still kid. He revealed that as a child he loved to watch "Vicke the Little Viking," which was also an animation series "about a kid who admires Vikings."

He also admitted that " "Vicke" has an influence in his own manga series. "As I did research on pirates for "One Piece," I realized that Vikings are a type of pirate," Oda explained. He also added that he felt it is awesome to have friend on the team, "just like in the 'Vicke' series. It may not be the best comparison, but I feel like that series' spirit is carried on within my work."

He also admitted that if given the chance to join a pirate group, and if Straw Hat pirates are not part of the choices, he would like to join the crew of Buggy because the group is very carefree. However, if he has the strength, his other option is the Blackbeard Pirates.

Eiichiro Oda revealed that he knows how "One piece" is going to end. But he didn't spill the beans."Knowing the end point, I weave the story and make story arcs that build up to it," the Oda said. Well, this was once reported in Movie News Guide in September telling fans that the manga's final chapter will be an amazing ending.
