"The Flash" Season 2 will premiere on Oct. 8, and spoilers of The CW superhero series keep coming. For instance, the showrunner teases fans not only the huge role for Iris West but also the new villains that are coming to Central City. In addition to those speculations, it is also believed that this upcoming season will reveal the identity of Zoom.
According to Christian Post, there will be new classic villains that will be introduced in the CW superhero series. Of course, Barry Allen will also be seen grieving for losing his friend Eddie Thawne. He would be struggling "to come to terms of Eddie's death." Despite wrestling with this human emotion, Central City's superhero, Allen aka The Flash, would encounter a new villain who comes to the city to create chaos. The new bad guy is none other than Atom Smasher. Another two speedsters that would be introduced in the second season of the superhero series are Jay Garrick (Teddy Spears) and Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale).
On a different note, En Yibada says that Producer Andrew Kreisberg told MTV News during an interview that the character of Iris West will play a big role in the upcoming season of "The Flash." She would be the reason why team flash would be back in the game in saving people and Central City. She will also be considered a member of the team, and her addition to the group is a big factor in the approaching season. Many believe that Iris will stand up as a leader of the group temporarily while Barry keeps his distance from the group because of his fear of hurting his friend or losing them like what happened to Eddie.
As for Zoom, his persona will slowly come into view in season 2. Many think that Zoom will be utilizing several villains in the series. His character is described as the speed demon. Greg Berlanti, Co-showrunner, equates Zoom as the "Darth Vader" since "two people will play him--Todd will provide the voice, while another person will do his actions." There are some who are speculating that Zoom could possibly have the identity of " future Barry Allen, Edward Clarss/ The Rival and Eddie Thawne."
