‘Fast & Furious 8’ Release Date & Plot: Vin Diesel Says F8 – Fate – is ‘Guaranteed’

“Fast & Furious 7” has just been released and broke records but one of its cast members, Vin Diesel, already began dropping hints that an eight installment will come soon. The movie series has been successful ever since it launched years ago, and its success has not gone unnoticed.

“The fact that the world embraced it and allowed it to be Paul’s legacy, it is just a beautiful thing,” Diesel told MTV News at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards. “Paul used to say that ‘Fast & Furious 8’ was guaranteed, and, in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass.”

Although there is a huge chance that an eighth movie might actually be pushed through, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star is convinced that the franchise’s biggest proponent was the late actor, Paul Walker.

“So, if fate has it – fate, F8 – then you will get it,” he added. “‘Furious 7’ was for Paul. 8 is from Paul.”

Even Dwayne Johnson, who is actually more famous for his wrestling nickname, The Rock, is apparently ready get back to work. “I talked to Vin today,” he said. “We had a nice discussion and I think, whatever it is, whatever we come up with for ‘Furious 8,’ we have to raise the bar in terms of action. Yes, but, also in terms of story and character.”

Independent stated that it might be more artistic if the filmmakers decide that “Furious 7” will be the last movie of the franchise. Those who have already seen the film will understand that it gave a sense of closure, especially after a clear tribute to the late Paul Walker – the last scene that had nearly every person in the audience crying.

However, the report mentioned that in Hollywood, if the studio can get more money from the project, then the series will be further expanded. Plus, the actors who were part of the movie were reportedly interested in pushing through with the eighth installment as well.

After the relatively emotional take that “Furious 7” took, the next movie might introduce a new set of characters to continue the story. Either the filmmakers simply make a spinoff movie and reel in new names and roles, or they continue where the last one left off while introducing some new characters into the mix.
