Rumors of a "Full House" reboot of sorts has been going on for quite some time and two actors linked to the project have confirmed something is "in the works."
We may be seeing Uncle Jesse and Danny Tanner back in their old roles as sources have reported that two stars -- Bob Saget and John Stamos -- of the hit 90s series have commented on the expected Netflix spin-off.
Last week, TMZ (via Enstarz) caught up with Stamos and he confirmed that the deals were close to being finalized. "We're this close to making it all happen," he said. "I'm the one who started it all, I wanted to bring it back to the fans and I didn't want to hurt the legacy...and I won't let that happen. So we're this close to making it perfect," added the 51-year-old.
Similarly, Saget spoke to Jenny McCarthy on radio this week and confirmed the discussions. "There are actual talks, but I don't know, there's a lot involved because we don't want to lose the legacy of what the show was," revealed Saget. He then added, "It's so silly, I never thought I'd be saying the legacy that is Full House , but it was a kid's show...but it was a family show that everybody loved."
Buzz surrounding the series spinoff has been steadily increasing and per TV Line, the series will feature a grown-up household that is focused on the story of Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy).
Other stars expected to make appearances are Saget and Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone).
"The legacy is so important to us," said Stamos who is producing the show. Back in 2014 during an interview on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" (via Today) he spoke about the unconfirmed project.
"Every year, it just gets deeper and more important to everybody. We just have to do it right. We're sort of working on a twist on a sequel, but we don't know if it's going to happen yet or not."
The title is believed to be titled, "Fuller House" and will air a 13-episode continuation to the popular series. It will focus on the life of D.J. and her best pal Kimmy.
The sitcom "Full House" aired eight seasons from the period of 1987 to 1995. Other celebrities who were part of the cast included fashion icon and business moguls Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
