Developers of Assasin's Creed learned the hard way from the blunder they have made from last year and they vowed that history will not repeat itself this time, IGN reported. Last year, Assasin's Creed: Unity made a very unwelcomed addition that featured locking access to treasure chests and costumes that require tons of gameplay hours. Assasin's Creed: Unity also introduced, Black Flag, wherein players can earn additional money and resources through a naval minigame, which is again, deemed by players and critics alike unnecessary.
