Super Bowl 2015 Halftime Show Round Up: Katy Perry & Diplo Together? DJ Spotted Watching Performance

One of the most-anticipated portions of the annual Super Bowl is the Halftime show and Katy Perry, as Super Bowl XLIX halftime show's lead performer, blew everyone away.

Amidst the thousands in the stadium and millions watching at home, one person who was there giving Perry his full support is rumored boyfriend, DJ Diplo.

According to report by Hollywood Life, the 36-year-old DJ was spotted in the audience catching the jaw-dropping show put on by the 30-year-old singer.

With no qualms about announcing that's he's present at the Super Bowl, the famous DJ took to Instagram to share some photos as he took in the entire experience with friend Dillion Francis.

"Here at the Super Bowl representing planned parenthood w @dillonfrancis," captioned Diplo of the snap.

Katy Wows The Audience

The "California Girl" singer wowed audiences as she gave everyone a little bit of everything. From teen pop to rocking out with Lenny Kravitz, Perry took down the Stadium with the massive production.

The singer, who had a number of costume changes, opened the show with "Roar" and sang as she made her away across the area while atop a gigantic lion that let out a fantastic roar of its own.

Helping Perry along was guitarist Lenny Kravitz who joined the pop star for a duet of "I Kissed A Girl."

During last week's Screen Actors Guild Awards, Kravitz teased audiences that he and Perry made an unexpected song choice, reports Huffington Post. "We've been texting back and forth and working it out," teased the 50-year-old musician.

After a lot of hair flipping, she then launched into "Teenage Dream" that gave everyone a little taste of summer. The stage was filled with colors, dancing beach balls, sharks and bright surfboards.

One of the most notable moments in the performance was the guest appearance of legendary female rapper, Missy Elliot. Bringing down the house with three of her hits, "Get Ur Freak On" and "Work It," the show was a sight to behold.

To close her performance, Perry dressed in a gorgeous silver gown and performed an electrifying rendition of "Firework," that included the brunette soaring high above the crowd.

Prior to going live, Perry spoke about the honor she felt to be selected as the performer for the halftime show. HuffPost quoted the "Dark Horse" singer saying: "I just have heard so many stories along the way of those songs helping people and how they have adopted them as their inspiration," said the megastar. "And I think in some ways, I'll be performing maybe for the first time for some of these people. This might be the first time people see me ever performing, and I get to play these songs. And to me, they're very uplifting. So I just feel like in some ways it's a spiritual experience for me, a little bit."
