'Fantastic Four' Reboot 2015 Cast, Trailer & News: Behind-The-Scenes Release, First Look at New Costumes [See Here]

What will the superheros from the upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot look like and what's the movie about? Eager fans will appreciate Collider's recent exclusive interview with director Josh Trank and producer/screenwriter Simon Kinberg which provided a lot of information on the highly secretive film.

Aside from the in-depth discussion with the brains behind the film, there were two debuted images that gave a sneak peek of one of the film's lead stars.

Two images taken during movie production show director Josh Trank looking serious as he watches the action with headphones on. The other photo is one that features Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm/ Human Torch) wearing what can be assumed to be his film costume.

The suit is completely different from the original blue jumpsuit most fans are used to. Instead, Jordan is seen wearing a fitted black outfit with black patches of what seems to be hard material all over.

Explaining why there was a departure from the original costume, Trank said that the film was going for "a hard sci-fi take," quotes ComingSoon, which will "fall in line more with a Cronenberg-ian science fiction tale of something horrible happening to your body and [it] transforming out of control".

Plot And Story

While Trank and Kinberg couldn't go into too much detail, they did reveal that the upcoming film will have something different to offer. As an origin story, the film is heavily influenced by the Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's work and described it to be "a modern telling of how these four iconic characters came together and came to be."

With barely anything out for the public to dissect, be it a movie poster or trailer, Trank explained that the lack of public information release was deliberate.

"This isn't like The Avengers. Even when the first Avengers came out, there were four other movies that people were familiar with. The suits and the tone and the look and the feel. So they could release those things or drop them on Twitter," admitted the director.

"But this movie, we really want the audience to have the proper reaction to this material seeing it for the first time. You've really got to put your best foot forward. You can't just leak an image to strike up a conversation. You want people to see something that has thought behind it," he continued and emphasized his preference to "show people what it looks like when it's done."

20th Century Fox's highly anticipated superhero reboot, "Fantastic Four" stars franchise newcomers Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, and Toby Kebbell.

Catch the film when it hits theaters Aug. 7.
