Superbowl 2015 Date, Time & Predictions: Patriots vs Seahawks - Who Will Win?

The NFL Superbowl 2015 is underway and fans are just as excited as the most anticipated match borders on. The Lombardi Trophy is awaiting the result of the clash between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.

Both teams have proven stellar the whole season long, and for the last time, one team has got to prove who's at the top this season. Is it the Patriots or the Seahawks? Well, time can only tell but as far as their previous stints are concerned, it is quite simple to come with some valid postulations as to who might emerge victorious at the end of the day.

According to Big Blue View, while Seahawks have been initially a two-point favorite, "the line has quickly shifted to the Seattle being a one-point favorite."

There is nothing surprising about the shift as folks have always been aware of the Patriots' performance in the Superbowls. Patriots are 0-2 in Superbowls, shares Big Blue View, and that could be an important clue as to who might possibly win in this year's SB.

Top guns are expected to give their best plays as storylines are clear as of the moment. The Patriots will have the experienced tandem of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, the Bleacher Report shares. Meanwhile, the Seahawks will tap the incredible skills of Russell Wilson as a counterpuncher for Brady.

Brady and Wilson are pretty much toe-to-toe in terms of individual statistics, according to ESPN. Brady's starter win-loss record is 40-12 to Wilson's 42-13; both have appeared twice in the Superbowl; Touchdown to Interception ratio is 75-41 for Brady and 82-31 for Wilson; and finally, Pass yards are relatively on the same level with Brady's 11, 591 and Wilson's 11, 523.

Nevertheless, the solid Wilson and Marshawn Lynch pairing "puts forth from Seattle's backfield will make it tough on the Patriots' vulnerable front seven, which isn't quite as good as the Seahawks", reports the Bleacher Report.

New England is consistent and are dynastic in NFL's Super Bowl history; and while there are speculations that Seattle will be down by two points at the onset of the game in Feb.1, the game may turn upside down as it kicks off in reality.

ESPN confirms that the Seahawks expect Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas to play at the Super Bowl 2015 although they are recuperating from mild injuries. Seahawks coach said, through ESPN, that "not for a second... their courage and heart couldn't have been more evident. Their willingness to throw their body out there was so impressive. Earl [Thomas] had a brace on his shoulder, and Richard [Sherman] couldn't straighten his arm out." But they are expected to play on February 1.
