Rumors that "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder and "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed are already preparing to tie the knot surfaced after the couple was spotted shopping for diamond rings in Los Angeles, California.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, the 36-year-old actor and his girlfriend were reportedly seen looking at exquisite diamond rings at the Los Angeles jewelry shop "New Stone Age" over the weekend.
Sources of the entertainment site revealed that the two even shared a couple of smooches. "They were absolutely adorable and you could tell they are very much in love. Nikki was pointing out items for Ian and visa versa," the source stated.
The couple allegedly looked at engagement rings including some designs by Livin such as a 14-karat gold diamond slice halo ring, as well as an 18-karat gold green halo diamond ring, and also checked out White Cloud's 18-karat large chocolate diamond ring.
The 26-year-old actress seemingly became the most exquisite jewel in Ian's eyes as the two gave each other sweet kisses and meaningful looks while browsing the displays.
"Nikki looked at a watermelon tourmaline gemstone necklace for Ian. They were inseparable while shopping, holding hands, smiling a lot and shared a couple of pecks here and there," the unnamed source added.
According to the Daily Mail UK, the couple's trip to the jewelry store on Sunday came after Reed's divorce with singer Paul McDonald was finalized in court.
Their divorce, filed in May 2014, was based on "irreconcilable differences" and was finalized on December 26, according to a TMZ report. After exchanging marriage vows in July 2011, the two decided to end more than two years of marriage and made their separation public in February 2014.
According to entertainment news website E! Online, the actress would be keeping three homes and cars as well as their German Shepherd dog named Enzo after assets with the "American Idol" alumna were split.
Shortly after filing for divorce, Nikki Reed made her relationship with the 36-year-old TVD hunk public.
The couple's relationship had never had a down moment since then, with a new engagement for the actress rumored to be in the works after her beau asked jeweler Neil Lane to shut down his Beverly Hills boutique for him while he reportedly looked at engagement rings for about an hour.
Somerhalder has also been very vocal about his feelings toward his girl and even refers to her as his "love"in social media posts.
