Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs & Features: vs iPhone 6 - Samsung Wins?

As the year paces towards its end, all eyes are on the biggest techno surprises in 2015. But even as of now, the competition in a whole new era of Android flagships is starting to intensify a little bit as rivals Samsung and Apple hint about their new lines of releases for the upcoming year.

Apple has been constantly at the top of the game in terms of bringing a new collection of upgrades but its biggest rival vows to give the former a fight. And while the iPhone 6 assures to be a thing to watch, the Samsung Galaxy S6 promises to dominate the Android world next year.

So, how will the Samsung Galaxy S6 outclass and crush Apple's iPhone 6? Here's how:

Faster LTE Speeds

Fool reveals that although the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 plus are equipped with Qualcomm's MDM9625 LTE-Advanced modem, "which supports 150 megabits per second download speeds and 50 megabits per second upload speeds", the reports says, "Samsung Galaxy Note S4 already supports maximum download speeds twice that of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus."

What? Isn't that amazing? But hold on because we are not talking about the Galaxy S6 yet.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is rumored to include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor that feature "a cellular modem capable of category 9 LTE-Advanced speeds - 450 megabits per second download and 50 megabit per second upload", Fool shares. In other words, the Samsung Galaxy S6's download speed is three times faster than that of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. How fast could that be!

Faster Wi-Fi transfer speeds

Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus supports 802.11ac standard, according to Fool, which means that it can accommodate 433 megabits per second of Wi-Fi speeds; unfortunately, that figure is even lower than what Galaxy Note 4 can support.

Fool says AnandTech revealed that "Samsung phone features Broadcom's bleeding-edge BCM4358 combo solution", and this would mean a "2x2 802.11ac solution supporting up to 650 megabits per second Wi-Fi speeds" will be installed in the Galaxy S6.

Higher Memory

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have 1-gigabyte memory capacity. But rumors about the S6 reveal that the upcoming Samsung smartphone will come with a 3-gigabyte memory, as supported by an LPDDR4 memory, "which is widely expected to offer performance and power efficiency gains over LPDDR3", Fool uncovers.

In a nutshell, it is quite obvious that in terms of specs and features, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will definitely outclass and crush the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. To be honest, rivalry between Samsung and Apple does not really exist in those aspects.

So when is it going to be released? Sadly, there are no announcements, much less rumors, yet about its release date. However, Techradar says it would probably be out "early 2015, probably March or April but maybe even earlier."
