Another Hollywood couple is heading to the altar soon. Hot couple Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello has gotten engaged over the holidays.
The two met in early May during the White House Correspondents Dinner, reported Huffington Post. At that time, the "Modern Family" actress was still attached to Nick Loeb. The two were in a very serious relationship since 2010 and were even engaged before they called it quits. Vergara and Manganiello began dating each other two months after her split with Loeb.
While it took two months for Manganiello to make his move, the "Magic Mike" hunk made no secret that he admires the Colombian actress. During the White House dinner, Manganiello was photographed looking at the actress' behind.
He recounted the incident describing it as a "moment of zen." The "True Blood" actor added, "There is nothing in my brain. If only I could meditate that well. I don't go after other people's women. She's got a guy. If she was single, I would be like, poof!"
Since they began dating, the couple was photographed numerous times in public and looking very sweet. The lovebirds are also very open with their affection for one another, calling each other as best friends. When Manganiello celebrated his 38th birthday last Sunday, his ladylove took her greeting and gushing to social networking site, Instagram. The Colombian beauty posted a photo of the couple hugging with a birthday greeting to her "love and best friend," reported Refinery 29.
Early this month, rumors of the two being engaged began buzzing when they were seen checking out jewelry stores, said Inquistr. At that time, Manganiello did buy Vergara a ring with a rose diamond.
While the couple has yet to announce their engagement, US Magazine said that the actor officially popped the question to Vergara on Christmas day while the pair was vacationing in Hawaii. A source also told the magazine that "he wanted to do it in front of her family."
Vergara was previously married to her high school sweetheart, Joe Gonzales at the young age of 18. They divorced three years after. Vergara and Gonzales has a son together, Manolo, who often accompanies his mother in events.
News.com.au reported that when Manolo goes with Vergara, the press sometimes takes him as her boyfriend. In an interview with Chelsea Handler, the 42-year old actress said her son "gets so mad" when it happens but that she "loves it."
