Christmas Cocktails: Best Easy-to-Do Recipes

With Christmas just around the corner, most people's schedules get cramped with numerous activities from gift shopping to holiday parties. While the thought of going through all those things tend to overwhelm, these Christmas cocktails will sure pump your spirit and take the Grinch out of you.

ET Online came up with eight holiday drinks that would look great on any Christmas spread. Being a Christmas staple, cinnamon takes center stage with the first two drinks featured on the list. Good ol' fashioned eggnog gets a new twist with the addition of cinnamon and alcohol in the mix.

Called the Cinnamon Eggnog, one could just pour a glass of ready-to-drink eggnog from the supermarket, pair it with an ounce of Aftershock and one and a half ounces of bourbon and you're good to go.

For those who want to opt out of tradition, then the Hot Toddy is a safe bet. Line the bottom of a glass with honey followed by one and a half ounces of whiskey. Next, add juice from a quarter of a lemon slice. Finally, pour black tea, made separately on the mixture. Stir and then serve. For those who do not like the strong taste of black tea, one can replace it with the ginger variant instead.

For those who prefer their drinks fruity, Mrs. Claus' Winter Spritzer is a good try. Made from different kinds of citrus fruits, the taste is sure to be light to the palate. Begin by mixing five cups of orange juice with two cups of lemon-lime soda. Next, add freshly squeezed juice from a quarter of a lemon then mix one and a half cups of vodka. Top it with half a cup of maraschino cherry juice before stirring. This cocktail is better served over ice.

On the other hand, for those who love drinking shooters, Santa's Seasonal Shooter is a mixture of Goldschager, half an ounce of grenadine and half an ounce of apple schnapps. The last two ingredients form a distinct red and green layer, giving it the holiday look. This drink is best taken straight up from the shot glass.

Cocktail drinkers would love Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Made from Champagne, peach juice and a topping of maraschino cherry, this mixture will remind you of Santa's most famous deer.

On the other hand, don't let the name fool you as the next drink on the list is very sweet to the taste. The Grinch cocktail is made of Midori Melon liqueur shaken with half an ounce lemon juice and a teaspoon of simple syrup.

You think peppermint is only for candies? The next drink proves otherwise as the Evil Elves concoction gives off a sour and minty taste. Combine an ounce of silver rum to six ounces of pink lemonade, stir and transfer to a glass before topping it off with candy cane.

Lastly, the Jack Frost cocktail is sure to make you feel the winter snow with its peppermint-y cool taste. In a glass, pour vanilla vodka before stirring in the coconut rum. Garnish with the peppermint schnapps.
