'Tekken 7' Release Date, Gameplay & Trailer: New Character Lucky Chloe Confirmed

"Tekken" fans should be prepared for a series of new characters. Two have already been revealed, in the forms of Claudio and Katarina, while a third new character was revealed on Saturday.

Complete with blonde hair and pigtails, Lucky Chloe was created by designers who drew inspiration from the feline world. Described as a character that suits the Dead Or Alive universe, Lucky Chloe will fight it out with Paul, Law, Xiaoyu, Alisa, and the others. Don't be put off by the pink, though, as Lucky Chloe is a force to be reckoned with.

The full-length "Tekken 7" trailer, released after Comic-Con in late July, suggests that the Devil Gene powers within Kasumi Mishima were passed onto her son, Kazuya, who stands off against his father at the end. While new characters have been introduced, Kasumi has not yet been confirmed as either a playable character or a boss character in "Tekken 7."

Such is not the only thing uncofirmed about the game. Although Cyberland reported a May 2015 title release date earlier in the year for only the PC, PS4, Xbox One platforms, as noted by KDramaStars, a new report claims otherwise.

Attack of the Fanboy stated that console release dates for "Tekken 7" are not scheduled yet; meanwhile, the Anime News Network claims a February 2015 release date.

Judging from past events, "Tekken" fans might just take matters into their own hands and not wait. Following location tests in Japan across October and November, the producer of the game series, Katsuhiro Harada, found himself with no choice but to reveal the seventh installment of the game at Evo 2014.

After the game's logo was seen in a projection test at the mid-July event, as well as in a brief appearance on AOL Video, Harada resigned himself to announcing "Tekken 7" earlier than expected. However, the announcement did nothing to calm the anticipation of console owners, as any existing footage, like the YouTube trailer that was published on Sunday, is strictly from the arcade version.

It seems that fans are always clamoring for more information about the upcoming game and the makers of "Tekken" assure of goodies in store.

Harada and his team have constructed the new "Tekken" using the Unreal Engine 4 system, which has been described by the senior producer as "powerful and easy to use". According to Harada, Unreal Engine 4 means that Bandai Namco will be able to easily adapt "Tekken 7" to all of the available platforms.

The upcoming sequel also incorporates exciting in-game technologies: the Power Crash and Rage Arts game systems. Power Crash enables players to initiate a counter-attack during an opponent's attack; meanwhile, the Rage Arts system invokes a special power crash that is activated in rage mode.

It looks like Tekken fans will just have to keep their ears to the ground and their eyes on the internet for more updates.
