PS Plus Free Games December 2014: The Best this Year? 'Hitman Trilogy', 'Injustice' & More

Sony has announced that they will be releasing several PlayStation games for free this December, a deal made especially for their PlayStation Plus subscribers, Games reported.

Owners of the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita have a lot to look forward to as Sony announced the list of games they are releasing for free through a post on their official PlayStation Blog.

Those with the PS3 can look forward to two new games. A packaged version of the first three "Hitman" games with the upcoming "Hitman Trilogy HD," which has "Contracts" "Blood Money" and "Silent Assassins" are up for grabs.

PS3 gamers could also get their hands on "Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut," where they play FBI agent Francis York Morgan who talks to himself while trying to track down a serial killer in the city of Greendale, according to Games.

Those playing on the PS4 on the other hand, can look forward to two new games as well, according to Sony's blog. The DC-inspired fighting game from NetherRealm Studios, "Injustice: Gods Among Us - Ultimate Edition," which comes with over 30 new skins, 60 new missions and six new characters, is for free.

If PS4 players are not much for superheroes though, they can choose to pick up the Wild Western-themed multiplayer shooting game from Switchblade Monkeys, the "Secret Ponchos."

Those on the PS Vita get "Final Horizon," a strategy-based tower defense game that has over 50 levels, 15 planets and an epic story where the player has to fight a Swarm.

The last offering, which is available for all three consoles, is "Titan Attacks," a shooting game of more than 100 levels with the player fighting against an invading army of Titans.

Sony even released a promotional video for their December lineup and announced that the deals mentioned are available starting Dec. 2 for all their PS Plus members.

Sony has been handing out deals of all sorts for their gamers and customers since their Black Friday deals where they offered up to 50 percent off on some of the games, according to Anand Tech.

For Black Friday 2014, Sony offered discounted prices for PS3 games such as "Borderlands Pre-Sequel," "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," "FIFA 15," "Madden 15," "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution" and more.

For the PS4, they offered discounts for "Destiny Digital Guardian Edition," "Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor," "MLB 14 The Show," "NHL 15" and more. They even offered 50 percent off on games such as "infamous Second Son," "Transistor" and more.
