Home Design: Are Floating Bonsai Trees Ideal for Your Home?

Flowers are an essential part of any household because they are well-known for making part of the home look even nicer. However, not all types of flowers should be placed inside your home especially if you have pets.

On the contrary, floating bonsai trees seem like a good idea, and here are some reasons why this type of plant or flower should be your first choice.

According to Elle Décor, a team of designers in Japan recently created a range of floating and rotating bonsai trees that only make use of magnets. The team originally pitched their design and concept on Kickstarter, and just last weekend, they were able to surpass their goal. If everything goes well for the team, the first floating and rotating bonsai for the home will be available starting August.

However, the publication revealed that purchasing a rotating bonsai tree is no joke because it is actually pretty expensive. A starter kit can cost you a whopping $200.

The team will also create a more comprehensive and expensive range also known as the Air Bonsai kit that will cost roughly around $10,000. What makes the second option truly expensive is the fact that the cost will also give you the opportunity to travel to Japan and attend a Bonsai workshop there.

Meanwhile, The Verge reports that it is illegal to export plants from Japan to the United States or other parts of the world. This means that the fee will also cover the shipping of locally sourced trees.

It is also important to note that there is a weight limit for the transportation of bonsai trees. Additionally, watering the plant should also be done carefully and as regularly as possible.

Still, despite its downsides, the floating bonsai tree market is expected to boom this year especially because it is such a beautiful sight to behold.
