NBA’s Mike James Lists Texas Mansion for $7.49 Million

Mike James, the NBA point guard who has played for more than seven teams in his entire career, has reportedly put his home in Houston, Texas, for sale with an asking price of $7.49 million.

Property records show that James purchased the home in May 2006, just two months before he signed a free-agent contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played for the team only for a year and moved on to the Houston Rockets the following season.

The residence was being offered for sale earlier this year with an $8 million price tag, the Los Angeles Times reported. Currently, James is being represented by Diane Kingshill of Martha Turner Sotheby's International Realty.

The residence is a 9,286-square-foot, single-family, multi-wing mansion that is comprised of 11 bedrooms and ten and a half bathrooms.

A stone driveway leads up to the entrance of the luxury residence. Opening through an arched entryway, French doors lead into the mansion that boasts of double height ceilings, large glass windows and mixed carpeted, hardwood, marble and stone-tiled flooring throughout.

Living spaces of the mansion include several media rooms, man caves and entertainment spaces like a theater and a bar with lounge. The home has a magnificent chef's kitchen with marble breakfast bar and a "planning center". The home also has an indoor basketball court.

Outside, the residence has a putting green, a salt-water pool with a heart-shaped spa and an "adventure backyard".

The mansion is surrounded by ample greens and has an oversized attached 5-car parking garage as well. Check out more photos of the home here.

Earlier this year, James was signed on by The Chicago Bulls.

"James, an 11-year veteran, played in 11 games with the Bulls earlier this season. The 6-foot-9 Amundson, a seven-year NBA veteran, played with the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this season, averaging 2.1 points and 3.1 rebounds in 18 games. He had a stint with the Bulls last season," ESPN reported.
