Jake Gyllenhaal Puts Hollywood Hills Home on Market for $3.5 Million

Jake Gyllenhaal, the "Prince of Persia" actor, has reportedly put his Hollywood Hills home for sale with an asking price of $3.5 million.

Property records show that Gyllenhaal bought the residence in 2005 for $2.5 million and considering the current asking, the hunky actor is looking for a good one million profit on the sale.

Rumor Fix speculates that Gyllenhaal maybe still living in the place because the house is being shown by appointment to pre-qualified buyers only.

The listing doesn't really come as a surprise because just a few months ago, the "Source Code" actor was seen checking out a $3.75 million New York City townhouse.

According to Curbed, Gyllenhaal has been on the prowl for a new house for about five months now. He was spotted taking a look at another penthouse on 65 Thompson Street in West Village sometime in December last year. The home was listed for $3.5 million and the website speculates that Gyllenhaal's budget maybe something in the range of $3.5 million to $4 million.

The Hollywood Hills home is a 2,826-square-foot single-family residence, comprising of three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms.

Interiors of the house feature high beamed and drywall ceilings, hardwood and carpeted flooring along with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and slider doors.

Living spaces include a formal living room, a cozy dining space, a family room, a modern kitchen and a den.

Outside, the residence has a pool, ample greens and a detached parking garage.

The home is being marketed by Denny Kagasoff of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties and an excerpt from the listing description reads:

"Gated celebrity compound on almost 2 acres down a long private drive has sensational panoramic views in a private setting on a lushly planted estate-size lot with trails and large grassy yard. This warm and inviting home in a tranquil location features a large swimming pool, entertaining areas and a separate detached office."
