Jamie McCourt sells Holmby Hills estate for $45 million

Jamie McCourt, the former co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has reportedly sold her home in Holmby Hills for $45 million.

McCourt listed the property with Kurt Rappaport of the Westside Estate Agency in March. The house was originally priced at $55 million, which was later reduced by $10 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The price at which the property has been sold is far more than what McCourt paid for it. She purchased the estate when she was still married to Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. The couple snagged the palatial pad for $25 million.

McCourt reportedly hosted an exclusive dinner at the residence before selling it. The sponsored dinner party was held April 25 for members of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Collectors Committee.

"Dinner guests had the opportunity to view Jamie McCourt's private art collection including pieces by Robert Irwin ("Four Fold"), Doug Aitken ("Listening") and Glenn Ligon ("Everything Must Go")," a press release read.

"The dinner at Jamie McCourt's home was one of the seven held to kick off a fundraising weekend for LACMA. Throughout its 29-year history, the LACMA Collectors Committee Weekend has funded 202 acquisitions through donations totaling more than $32 million," the statement added.

According to the MLS, the residence is a 20,637 square feet house, sitting on an 113,555 square feet lot. Situated in a gated-private compound, a long driveway leads to the entrance of the multi-winged, single-family home.

The contemporary villa has five bedrooms and six bathrooms spread across two stories. Living space includes a large living room, a formal dining area, a family room, a gourmet kitchen and a library and media room.

Outside, the home has an infinity pool with waterfall features, a separate guest house and detached servant quarters. There is ample parking space as well.

"Holmby Hills compound located behind iron gates at the end of a several hundred feet long gated drive," the listing read. "This unsurpassed Contemporary European Villa has been completely redone with quality and taste."

No pictures of the home were available because it was shown to qualified buyers only. The home is located just near Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion. Famous talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres also owns a home there. She purchased the "Brody House" for $39.8 million in January this year.

More recently, McCourt purchased a Napa Valley vineyard estate in late 2013. The estate comprises of a 3,200 square-feet main residence with two bedrooms, a detached guest house, a large swimming pool and a four-acre working vineyard, reports the Wall Street Journal.
