Robin Williams Sells LA pied-a-Terre for $869,000; Napa Valley vineyard estate to hit market for $29.9 million

Robin Williams, actor and stand-up comedian, is reportedly dabbling in some serious real estate selling his Los Angeles pied-a-Terre for $869,000 while his Napa Valley vineyard estate is about to hit the market for $29.9 million.

The Pied-a-Terre

Williams' 1,318-square-foot, two bedrooms, one and a half bathroom home in Bronson Canyon, closed sale late January. The comedian purchased the house in September 2009 for $857,500. It was listed for $939,000 in September 2013 and pricechopped by $40,000 in January before selling, reports The Real Estalker.

Listing records of the little residence reveal that the home was built in the 1920s and though renovated several times, the place retains its original Tudor architecture. Interiors of the home feature high cathedral and drywall ceilings with hardwood flooring and French windows.

The home has a living room, a dining room and a "unique screening room" on the upper level. The master suite has an en-suite dark-tiled bathroom. There is a modest kitchen with white cabinetry as well.

The "Villa Sorriso" or "The Villa of smiles"

Williams' Napa Valley estate is also called the "Villa Sorrisi" or the "Villa of smiles." While it isn't known when he purchased the huge 640-acre estate, he built a 20,000-square-foot, five bedrooms and six and half bathroom residence in 2000.

This is Williams' second attempt at selling the place. He first listed the place in 2012 for $35 million. It was listed by Sotheby's International Realty then. However, this time the home will resurface with a reduced price tag and a different listing agent - Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The Napa Valley estate has an 18.4-acre working vineyard. The main house is a marvel in itself too. There is a billiards room, a 12-seater theater, a wine cellar (of course) and temperature-controlled storage rooms too. There is a bridge that connects the master suite to a bell tower, which has no bell but a gym and study.

The estate also has an infinity pool with a pool-house, a tennis court, a horse-barn and horse-riding trails, a fishing pond and a detached guesthouse.
