Ed Sheeran fans were stunned after the singer posted an Instagram photo of himself while holding hands with James Blunt last Wednesday while walking on the red carpet for Arias. What's even more shocking was the caption of the photo which stated: "teddysphotos We would like to announce our engagement". [Metro]
Both British singers were both pleased with the photo as they have a playful grin embedded on their faces.

During one of his interviews, Ed Sheeran then added that: "[James] is my male lover, we've just come out together, its a recent thing.' And they continued to joke around on stage too."
Though his engagement announcement was purely a joke, Ed Sheerean's real girlfriend on the other hand is no other than Cherry Seaborn. The 24-year-old singer has been spotted all over town with his girlfriend.
As per the US Weekly, the duo was spotted a few months ago in Las Vegas. A source close to the singer did confirm that the "Thinking Out Loud" singer and his high school friend, Seabon, are officially dating.
Before dating Seaborn however, Sheeran dated Athina Andrelos for about 14 months before calling it quits.
