Lara Croft has just returned to "Rise of the Tomb Raider." She is more captivating, much better and smarter than ever. The previous "Tomb Raider" has already earned excellent reviews since its release in 2013, but the Rise of the "Tomb Raider" has added one step higher to an already raised status.
Released a year after "Tomb Raider's" introduction, the mystical pinnacle was discovered by the Trinity organization with an obsession in tracking and otaining supernatural relics. In the case of Lara, she is sharing this obsession with the aim of clearing her father's tarnished reputation. Lara's adventure was focused upon her mission to survive during her isolation in the island of mystery, which fueled Lara's obsession in accomplishing her father's last endeavor: in pursuit of a life of eternity.
The central gameplay of the game is almost similar to the previous game series. Lara will be dealing again with various types of weapons with craftable attachments and upgrades. Crafting is using numerous resources like plants and animal skins. Optional tombs, weapon parts, murals and collectibles are spread everywhere in the map just waiting to be discovered.
In "Rise of the Tomb Raider," it is all adventure and exploration. And for some avid fun, it is more of a re-exploration since many puzzles of varied pieces are required to complete a gear to open and unlock doors, chests, rope arrows and other tools. Fast travels to and from bases to another, and the re-exploration is a lot easier. With a very captivating content both in the story and purpose, the enticing factor to go back and play is very encouraging. Gamers find satisfaction just by solving the puzzle, which makes the quest worthwhile especially when rewards are at stake. Lara's isolation has paved to a much better progression of character.
One of the best things with the game is the "Expedition" mode wherein challenge modes and New Game Plus variants are available. Gamers can even go back and play again with different modifiers like weapon mods and character bonuses, as well as other head modes. The Expedition gives additional contents. The "Rise of the Tomb Raider" game is virtually amazing in every way. The supernatural is definitely one factor that makes the game more pleasant.
