Ian Somerhalder Leaves 'The Vampire Diaries', Cast Wants Nina Dobrev To Return Instead [RUMORS]

The tides seem kinder to Nina Dobrev even after her exit in "The Vampire Diaries." The buzz behind the vampire series nowadays is that Ian Somerhalder's "attitude" is making the production of the series eager to "fire" him and make way for the comeback of Nina Dobrev.

Even after the succeeding run of the seventh season of "The Vampire Diaries," Dobrev is still very much alive and tagged constantly with the news about the CW show. Recently, Celebrity Dirty Laundry wrote an article that the crew and the cast of "TVD" misses Dobrev's presence in the show and prefers her company instead of Ian Somerhalder's. Why? The outlet details that apparently the actor who is known for the character Damon Salvatore in the series is having a "diva" attitude on set after the departure of Dobrev.

"Nina Dobrev's friendliness was preferred to Ian Somerhalder's diva behavior on 'The Vampire Diaries' set. Nina Dobrev is greatly missed by co-workers on TVD. Are Ian's co-stars tired of his self-important diva antics? According to reports Somerhalder's love of the spotlight might be causing some friction, and without Dobrev's presence to keep Ian in check, it's becoming a problem," according to CDL.

Meanwhile, the rumors were reportedly evident when Somerhalder was interviewed by Variety regarding Dobrev's departure in the show.

"I personally think everyone thought it was going to be a huge departure after Elena (Nina Dobrev) was gone. And I was one of those people," Somerhalder said from the interview. "I thought it was going to be a huge departure for the typical formula of our show. By virtue of the fact that it wasn't a huge leap for mankind, as far as changing it up, there were some differences that sort of mixed up the formula."

It was evident how "The Vampire Diaries" shifted out a new gear for their episodes, different story arcs with that of Alaric and Caroline's sudden baby reveal or even Bonnie and Enzo's blooming love angle.

But on another note, the thought of Dobrev's involvement in the story is very much alive. Do you think that the people behind the story is keeping it as is because the rumors are true that they want Dobrev back in the series? And this is their way on pushing her to comeback?

How about the rumors involving Somerhalder's attitude? Do you think that Somerhalder is getting overboard now that Dobrev is out of the series?
