The next Samsung flagship in the S series will be the "Samsung Galaxy S7" and rumors has it that the phone will be announced as early as January. In fact, Samsung has already announced the new camera sensor that might be coming to the "Samsung Galaxy S7".
What To Expect In "Samsung Galaxy S7"
Apart from the camera sensor, there are many things that we expect Samsung to do in their next flagship. First of all, maybe the time is now right for the company to depart from its usual design of what TechRadar calls a 'standard, blocky phone'. Maybe now's the time to expect Samsung to give us something that can push boundaries and take into consideration all cool technology they keep on promising.
Screen improvement is also a part of the high expectations given to the company for the "Samsung Galaxy S7". According to TechRadar, if the company is gonna succeed in the Gear VR, a better screen is needed. So leaping toward 8K will make the phone visuals sharper.
Additionally, if Samsung wants to take a big leap away from competitors, they should also lose the fingerprint scanners and start a new fad with the use of the iris scanning technology. Using dual high resolution front cameras with improved apertures, the phone can prove your identity simply by turning it on.
One good news about the "Samsung Galaxy S7" is that the edges of the screen will be properly pushed to the phone's side. The notofications will properly show up on the side, unlike the S6 Edge which used the edges are mere decorations. Additionally, there will be bass-rich speakers on the phone's top and bottom parts and these will use Samsung's omni sound technology, making the phone a real media royalty. This would also mean saying bye to the backwards facing speakers that produce tinny sounds. Furthermore, the rumor about a magnesium based alloy as the S7's build may also be accurate, as this rumor came up again recently. This kind of material would make the phone lighter, stronger, and cooler in temperature even when the hardware is working hard.
Further "Samsung Galaxy S7" talks also included the hearsay that the phone will be available in a 5.2" and 5.8" variants. But then again, there is no confirmation to this just yet.
More "Samsung Galaxy S7" rumors include a feature similar to Apple's 3D Touch, a Gorilla Glass replacement called the Turtle Glass, and a foldable body. However, among these three, the last one may be highly unlikely.

One rumor suggests that the S7 could be announced as early as January 19 for an early February 2016 launch. However, there are additional rumors saying that the company started to work on the S7 at least two months earlier than the expected schedule, so an even earlier announcement may also happen.
