The official site of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III" has released its teaser visual and promotional video. This is the 3rd project of "Gundam: The Origin," which has been dubbed as "Dawn of Rebellion" or "Revolt at Dawn."
Crunchyroll reports that the official portal of "Gundam" franchise, which is intended for the 4 episodes adaptation, has already posted a teaser visual and promotional video for the 3rd episode. Report states that it is slated "for a theatrical release in Japan in spring of 2016. "
"Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III" is likely to "feature the incident that became the trigger of the start of the Zeon's war against the Federation, which was told in the manga's 11th tankobon volume."
In a separate report of Crunchyroll, it reveals the story of "Gundam: The Origin III" of Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. According to the site, the story line "involves Char Aznable and Garma Zabi as young men enrolled together in the Republic of Zeon's military academy." In addition, it also mentions the project's directors. "Dawn of Rebellion" will be helmed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Takashi Imanishi. The animation will be handled by Sunrise studio.
Anime News Network on the hand reports that this is not the first time that the Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's "Mobile Suit Gundam" manga has been adapted into an anime series. It is noted by the online anime news magazine that the first episode debuted on Feb. 28 "in a limited engagement in Japanese theaters."
The "Gundam: The Origin" had been streamed simultaneously with the premier release made on theaters. The streaming had both Japanese and English dubs via Daisuke website as Anime Consortium Japan paid a premium. The first home video release in DVD /BD combo pack was also made available in the market on April 24, this was a team effort of Right Stuf and Sunrise.
The second episode of "Gundam: The Origin" was streamed on October 30 via Daisuke also.
