‘The Vampire Diaries Season 7’ Updates and Spoilers: Will the Salvatores and the Heretic Meet in Episode 5 ‘Live Through This?’

People say, let go of the past. But for episode 5 of The Vampire Diaries Season 7, the characters can't seem to avoid and let go of it. Although Caroline's (Candice King) skin doesn't anymore burn Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Valerie's (Elizabeth Blackmore) spell was finally removed, the meeting of Salvatore and the Heretic can't seem to be avoided.

"At Caroline's urging, Stefan comes face-to-face with Valerie and learns some upsetting details about her past," the synopsis teases.

The synopsis shows Caroline will tell that she was pregnant with his baby before she died. The possibility of a comeback from Julian (Todd Lasance) may also be high.

"Lily prepares for the arrival of a special figure from her past," the synopsis says.

This could only be Julian who was once Lily's suitor. He isn't the only one, though. Another was Enzo (Michael Malarkey), who has made his feelings for her clear. He will be at Lily's side in episode 5, but he seems to "stand by not sure what to expect."

Of course, there is more to Enzo's staying by Lily's side. According to IBTimes, he will find trouble with Bonnie (Kat Graham). The summary says that the two "find themselves at odds when they're forced to fend off a violent threat."

The Phoenix stone is one of the possible things that might be the said 'threat.' It might be due to bringing someone back from the dead when Bonnie used it for Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe).

The fans will have to wait for episode 5 to know if Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will involve himself in the fight of his bestfriends.

As the synopsis teases, ""After realizing the downward spiral he was on, Damon ... decides he's going to turn over a new leaf and that his actions moving forward will do right by Elena."
