'Orange Is The New Black' Season 4 Spoilers & Updates: Characters From Netflix Show To Become Lead Stars In Broadway?

Fans of "Orange is the New Black" reportedly want to see the cast members of the hit Netflix series star in a Broadway musical show.

According to Broadway World, "Orange is the New Black" star Laverne Cox will be appearing in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" as Dr. Frank N-Furter. The show will air on FOX sometime in the fall of 2016. Now the publication came up with a list of "Orange is the New Black" cast members who could play specific roles on stage.

For instance, cast member Danielle Brooks or Taystee on "Orange is the New Black" could reportedly play a role in the Broadway musical "The Color Purple." Actress Kate Mulgrew, who plays the role of Red, could star in another Broadway musical since she has already appeared in some.

Meanwhile, Beth Fowler, who plays the role of Sister Jane, has also starred in multiple Broadway shows including "Peter Pan," "Baby," "A Little Night Music," and "Beauty and the Beast."

In other news, "Orange is the New Black" will reportedly feature the return of Natasha Lyonne's Nicky Nichols from Maximum Security. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lyonne said that Nicky's possible return could work both ways for her character as well as for the show.

"It could really go both ways. People respond all kinds of ways to intense situations beyond rules. That kind of discipline sometimes brings out the best in people and sometimes brings out that much more anger and rebellion. Certainly, at a certain point, I think Nicky would have to come to terms with her childhood and do some reconciling with her past if she's going to make peace with being an adult," she said.

"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 will premiere on Netflix with 13 new episodes sometime in June 2016.
