There are speculations circulating that Thorsten Kaye might be leaving "The Bold and The Beautiful" over travel woes.
According to CDL, the actor who plays the iconic role of Ridge Forrester in the daytime soap, revealed to Soaps In Depth how exhausting his travel from New York to Los Angeles and back every week is. He's been doing that for the past two years and it is taking its toll on him.
Although Kaye pointed out that he loves his job, he feels like all he do is travel and recover from jet lag. He travels to LA on Mondays and works Tuesdays to Fridays. He flies back to New York on Fridays and spends his weekends with his family.
"Bradley Bell is a great boss. It's a fun job, and the material for Ridge is edgy; it's just the traveling is so difficult," Thorsten said. "I wake up at 3:30 am every morning in L.A. I am used to Eastern Time. I look like crap because I don't get the sleep I need from bouncing back and forth from one-time zone to another."
He also feels like he's missing out a lot on his children with long-time girlfriend Susan Haskell, Marlowe, 8 and McKenna, 12, because he always travels.
But then he realized that he is already whining about the travel and said, "I should be thankful for my success and shut up."
Nonetheless, it looks like B&B fans will still see Kaye play Ridge. The actor remains excited about showing the audience his talent with the storyline about Ridge and Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) and their baby.
Meanwhile, spoilers from We Love Soaps tease that this week, Ridge's involvement in Dollar Bill Spencer's (Don Diamont) family would piss Bill. He and Caroline will also have their first baby ultrasound.
