Colin Kaepernick Net Worth: 'San Francisco 49ers' Quarterback's Horrendous Playing Could Cost Him $93.2 Million

The "San Francisco 49ners" Quarterback recently made the headlines as he reportedly sign a 6-year contract which could land him a whopping $93.2 million. As per Celebrity Net Worth, Colin Kaepernick demanded a contract extension after the 2013 season ended. He did exhibit amazing games over the last seasons for his team, but he did not however exhibit the same skills to land him $100 million.

This may sound insane, but signing him for a 6-year contract extension may actually be good for the team. His 6-year contract is worth $114 million, but it does come with a catch. As per the website, he would be able to get the amount he wanted, only if he would keep playing at a high level. It was also stated that "De-escalators were also included that would lower his salary unless he played well enough to be named to the All-Pro team or won took the team to the Super Bowl."

His sign in bonus first started at $12.3 million and a large guarantee amount of $61 million. This may be a huge amount, but his guarantee would not come into effect until April 1 of each year. In doing so, he can still be cut loose without spending on him too much if ever he will not exhibit quality performance.

During the last season, Kaepernick's performance wasn't that great. He was able to finish last season with only 211 passing yards game which is reasonable for 25th among NFL starters. As of this season, he is currently averaging just 208 yards a game. Two other guys following him behind already lost their positions.

As per The Richest, last 2012, Colin Kaepernick only has a net worth of $1 million. His net worth continually increased up to this date and he is now worth $16 million as of Celebrity Money.
