‘Darksiders 2’ Deathnitive Edition: Hi-Def Trailer Shows In-Game DLCs, Characters & Environments, Will Be Launched On Oct. 27 for Xbox One, PS4

On Monday, game developer Nordic Games launched a high-definition trailer for its upcoming popular game "Darksiders 2: Deathnitive Edition." The game's recently launched trailer shows the title's different free downloadable contents, characters, environments and more. The game is slated to be launched tomorrow, Oct. 27, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, a report from Gamespot said.

"As announced previously, the Deathinitive Edition boasts 1080p graphics and includes all DLC released for the game during its initial run. In addition, the game uses a new rendering engine to improve how the lighting and shadows look. Players can also expect better graphics overall for characters and environments," the report said.

Gamespresso reports that "Darksiders 2" Deathinitive Edition includes the following DLCs: the Maker Armor Set, The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, Death Rides, Angel of Death, Deadly Despair, Shadow of Death, Mortis Pack, Rusanov's Axe, Van Der Schmash Hammer, Fletcher's Crow Hammer, Mace Maximus, and Argul's Tomb.

"The gameplay has also been adjusted slightly, with the game's loot distribution and balancing mechanics having been 'reworked'. The original Darksiders II came out in 2012, so hopefully these improvements will only continue to add to the game," the report noted.

Back in June, there has been speculations that a "Darksiders 3" will be released after game developer Nordic Games bought the game's franchise from THQ.

"Naturally (and extremely excitedly!), there will be a large-scale project based on Darksiders, but for now it is very important for us to take care of the existing games and make those available to a broader audience. Bringing Darksiders II to current gen was a logical step for us and the team at Gunfire Games know their trade inside-out, so we easily and quickly had lots of ideas that we wanted to realize for this specific edition," Nordic Games said, according to Gamespot.
