'NCIS' Season 13 Episode 4 Preview: Gibbs Investigates the Murder of a Former NCIS Agent; Someone from DiNozzo's Past Will Come Back

After dealing with a marine murder in Quantico, the team will be dealing with the murder of a former agent in in the next episode of "NCIS" Season 13.

In episode 3, Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and McGee (Sean Murray) went undercover as a married couple in order to run surveillance on the victim's wife. In episode 4, Vance (Rocky Carroll) will need Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) help in order to solve another murder case.

According to the official synopsis posted on Cartermatt, Vance and Gibbs will be teaming up as Gibbs returns to the field to investigate the murder of a former NCIS agent. It turns out that the former NCIS agent was connected with Gibbs' past as he was locked up by Gibbs for stealing important evidence.

Meanwhile, Design & Trend reports that a former character will be coming back this season. According to the site, NCIS agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) will be going down memory lane as someone from his past will be coming back this season.

It was reported that Tony's ex-girlfriend Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson) will be appearing in multiple episodes in Season 13. It was confirmed that the character will be first appearing in an episode that will air sometime in November.

Jeanne was last seen during Season 4 when DiNozzo was tasked in a mission to take down her father who is disguising himself as a doctor but was actually an arms dealer. Although the beginning of their relationship seemed to be strong, everything fell apart when Jeanne found out that DiNozzo was an NCIS agent.

It was earlier reported that showrunner Gary Glasberg confirmed that there will be returning characters in Season 13 and fans are reportedly waiting if Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) will be one of those guests. However, Glasberg already confirmed that Ziva won't be appearing this season.

"NCIS" Season 13 episode 4 is titled "Double Trouble" and will air on OctobeNor 13.
