‘Quantico’ Spoiler Alert: Showrunner Teases Fans Who the Terrorist Is and Episode 3 ‘Cover’

"Quantico" showrunner Josh Safran talks about possible suspects among the trainees and breaks down each one's future in the show.

In the premiere telecast of "Quantico," it was hinted that the person responsible for the bomb in Grand Central Station could be one of Alex's fellow new agent trainees (NATs) at the Bureau. In a report by Entertainment Weekly, "Quantico" showrunner Safran discusses how the first episode was laid out to show that everybody is a suspect.

He said, "The truth of the matter is in the pilot, they're all suspects. It's important to note that you'll meet other NATs as the season progresses. We look at it much like 'Lost' in that you're meeting new people from different rows of the plane as the series progresses, so you're meeting new trainees, and the trainees are just as much suspects as anyone you meet in the pilot."

According to the same report, Safran flat out said that Alex is definitely not the terrorist in the group. The whole incident might have been pinned on her but he said the FBI should be after somebody else and not Alex. Safran also said fans should not get the idea that the "Quantico" protagonist is a double agent of some sort.

Meanwhile, in a preview of the show's third episode by International Business Times, Alex continues with her training and she will get important information about her father and his ties to the FBI. There is no hint on what she will uncover but it figures to be really important as it is the main reason for her wanting to be in the Bureau.

The NATs are going to be taught about profiling and they will be tasked to analyze each other. This process will give them and the viewers more glimpses into what secrets they all possess that could give clues to who the real terrorist in the group is.
